Pooch Playhouse
When Pooch Playhouse needed to expand their dog boarding and grooming facility, strategic site planning created more capacity while treading lighter on the land. M2 Group provided site engineering, land surveying, entitlements and land disturbance permitting for a 4,400-square-foot building addition and complementary parking on the 1.19-acre site. The design transformed concrete pads into artificial turf play areas, reducing impervious surface by 900 square feet—eliminating additional stormwater management infrastructure and cutting construction costs.
The project required creative problem-solving beyond conventional site work. An innovative gravel media and air drain system beneath the play yards provides water quality treatment and storage. With Spring Hill under a sewer capacity moratorium restricting new wastewater connections, M2 is working directly with city staff to formulate solutions for additional sanitary sewer capacity.
