POSITION SUMMARY
As our company continues to grow and diversify its markets and services, we are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and collaborative Marketing Specialist to support the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives. This individual will play a key role in strengthening the M2 Group brand, coordinating proposals and pursuits, supporting business development leaders, and helping position the company for continued growth as a regional, multi-state firm.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, strategic, and relationship-oriented with the ability to think critically, manage competing priorities, and thrive in the fast-paced environment of the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry. This role is intended to serve as an experienced mid-level marketing position between a Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Manager, with opportunities for continued professional growth and leadership development.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support implementation and ongoing execution of M2 Group’s Marketing & Business Development Plan
- Maintain and strengthen M2 Group’s brand identity across all platforms and materials
- Develop content and write compelling copy across print and digital marketing materials – brochures, project sheets, proposals, presentations, website content, advertisements, and award submissions – and carry each piece through design and production to a client-ready deliverable
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns that build brand awareness across target markets to support business development and client engagement
- Coordinate proposal and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) development, including scheduling, content collection, formatting, graphics, resumes, compliance, and production support
- Coordinate pursuit strategy discussions and assist leadership with opportunity tracking and go/no-go coordination
- Support preparation for interviews, presentations, and shortlist meetings
- Maintain project experience database, resumes, and proposal content library
- Track business development opportunities, client activity, and CRM data to support firm-wide business development efforts
- Manage social media content planning, creation, scheduling, and engagement
- Coordinate photography and videography to support marketing content
- Manage and maintain website content and updates, applying SEO best practices
- Monitor and report on marketing performance, translating data into actionable insights
- Plan and coordinate conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, networking events, career fairs, client lunch-and-learns, and other client engagement activities, including logistics, materials, and execution
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, competitors, and client opportunities
- Coordinate annual client surveys and assist leadership with client relationship initiatives
- Support internal communications, including announcements, newsletters, and company updates
- Assist with company events, celebrations, philanthropic activities, and team engagement initiatives
- Manage branded collateral, promotional items, and trade show materials
- Collaborate with leadership and department managers to identify marketing opportunities and strategic
POSITION PRE-REQUISITES AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred
- 3–7 years of full-time marketing experience, preferably within the A/E/C industry or professional services environment
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical or project information into compelling marketing content
- Strong experience managing and coordinating proposals, SOQs, and pursuit-related efforts in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience participating in business development and client relationship activities
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office programs
- Understanding of CRM principles and experience working within a CRM platform (Deltek Vantagepoint, Salesforce, or similar)
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress or similar), SEO best practices, and basic web analytics (Google Analytics or similar)
- Experience managing social media channels and digital content in a professional services environment, including performance tracking and engagement metrics
- Strong visual communication skills with the ability to support, evaluate, and refine design work for clarity, readability, and brand consistency
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and initiative
- Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to professionally represent M2 Group in external settings and industry events
